BC’s Premier David Eby used the backdrop of the BC Building and Construction Industry’s Convention to announce coming changes for better sanitation for BC’s construction industry on jobs with 25 workers or more on it.
The industry has struggled with this simple common decency for decades, and it took a global pandemic to highlight the irony in the fact that construction workers are those that build the washrooms in every home, office, and shop throughout BC yet when it comes to their own use, they are left to horrible conditions often associated to developing countries.
Our membership, and all construction workers in BC thank the Premier for recognizing this civil and moral health imbalance that has existed in the industry for far too long.
