IBEW 230 member Jack Sandor is running for Victoria City Council!
Victoria’s 2026 Municipal Election is on Saturday, October 17th.
The PAL course will explore the complex relationship between local unions, politics, and government. It’s important for you to understand how participating in politics, such as elections, can have real effects on your job and work prospects.
For the first time, in a very long time, we have a Local 230 member running! Jack is a 27-year-old Red Seal Electrician and is endorsed by the Executive Board and membership. You may have worked with Jack at the Cowichan Hospital or on other sites. This is a candidate who understands the needs of construction workers and who will have a vested interest in genuinely representing labour unions. This is an opportunity for a real voice and real representation at the council table.
