Executive Board Responsibilities
The Local 230 Executive Board meets monthly between Unit Meetings; they act as the Apprentice Selection Committee vetting all Apprentices and the qualifications of new members applying for membership as well as Travel Cards, Pensions and Withdrawals.
They sit as the Local Union Trial Board, hearing, deliberating and writing all decisions that are properly brought before them in the form of Local Union charges. They oversee all financial transactions, bills, banking and audited quarterly and annual financial statements, and correspondence.
The Executive Board has the same rights to bring forward business of the Local as any other Unit Meetings; they are responsible for the accurate meeting minutes of the Local, and it’s Units, and to ensure the Constitution and Bylaws are strictly adhered to.
